Origin of Tea And Its Existence
There is such a thing that everybody's day starts, freshness comes. A cup of good tea in the morning refreshes the mood all day long.
Go anywhere - from Dhaba to five-star hotels, tea is present everywhere. No ceremony is complete without tea. In China, it is considered 'Welcome Drink', and welcomes guest in Japan with 'T Ceremonies'. In fact, the first introduction to man's tea was due to its insignificant qualities.
A cup of tea in the morning keeps the mood fresh throughout the day.
Tea and its Existence
It is said that a tradition of drinking tea in the sixth century reached Japan from China. Tea brought to Japan by a Buddhist monk, spread rapidly in Japanese society from the royal court and Buddhist monasteries in Japan.
A story of Tea:-
It is said that when a Chinese monk drank hot water when feeling exhausted during his penance, he felt sudden energy. It was later seen that the pot in which the water was heated in it, the leaves of the tree had fallen and the tree was of tea.
The circulation of tea worldwide
Portugal got the first right to trade tea from China. Tea samples in England reached in 1652 and 1654. Tea arrived in the Asia-continent in the 19th century when British rulers started cultivating tea in Ceylon and Taiwan. In such a situation, it can be said that India has learned about tea and its consumption by the British.
Role of tea in the Indian Economy
India is not only the largest producer of tea, but India is also the largest exporter of tea. This is the reason why tea is an important place in India's economy. Apart from India, China, Japan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Russia are tea producing countries.
According to ASSOCHAM's December 2011 report, India uses about 30 percent of the total tea production. Despite this, India is also the largest exporter of tea after China. Let us tell that more than 70 percent of tea is consumed in India today.
In the 20th century, the practice of tea cultivation was started in the African countries like Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, by the British rulers. The tea quality of these areas was not high level though, but due to mechanization, it has become a significant partnership in the world market.
BLACK TEA:
Black Tea is practiced in most parts of the world. Black tea is mixed with milk and sugar in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada. In many countries, black tea is drunk with sugar or lemon. The trend of green tea has increased in people today. Green tea is very popular in countries such as Japan, China, Indonesia, South-Asia subcontinent, whereas black tea is often prevalent in India and neighboring countries. The demand for white and Oolong tea is quite limited.
