It traces the history of India after Independence from a common man's perspective and follows his life from 18 to 70 years of age.

Bharat is going to be released in India on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr on June 5, 2019.

Bharat is based on South Korean Melodrama Ode to My Father (2014), which tells the history of South Korea from the 1950s to 2010 parallel to the life of a man. During the Partition of India in 1947, Bharat's father returned to Pakistan and promised his eight-year-old son to lead the house and keep the family together, it does not make any difference. Bharat's life shows the history of India's independence over a period of 60 years, from 18 to 70 years of age.
